As I mentioned on a different post I had planted some iceberg lettuce seeds hoping I would have some lettuce for a salad. Instead the baby bird claimed the lettuce for themselves. I watched the lettuce leaves grow back only to have the baby birds reclaim the newly grown leaves. Eventually the lettuces then bolted and as seen in the picture at the top of this post a flower had recently bloomed. Hopefully they will seed and I will be able to plant more. I had not known baby birds like to eat iceberg lettuce until I saw them (not shown).
