Ties could be put on both middle sides of the burlap along with the four ties that were sewn on each corners of the burlap.
Rocks are under the burlap providing additional support to uphold the palm 🌴 tree stems that are partially inground and the stones also lift the burlap a little more from its sagging.
Corn 🌽 area is exposed. Zucchini waiting to sprout is covered on the hot summer days that are supposed to be over 100 degrees f.
I am not sure how the shade burlap will do if its windy.
