The cabbage, a basil plant and a bean plant were
shaded on some days that the temperatures were over 100 degrees f.
How did they do? I noticed that the cabbage had not withered as much as it did previous to the burlap shade on hot days this summer.

I had planted several cabbage seeds this year.
This is the only one that continued to grow.
