Small Okra and Corn 🌽 Field Planted

Small  Corn 🌽 field planted

Last year the corn 🌽 was planted in this area and the ground was not level so when the area was watered (on sandy soil) the water flowed downward passing some of the corn and not having a chance to soak in. So this time I dug little ditches. I then soaked the ditches before planting the corn since I dug down where the rain water had not reached yet and I wanted it to be somewhat soft and wet for the roots.  Sandy soil can be real hard when not watered.

I spent most of the morning outside on this day gardening.

 I planted a small corn 🌽 field.

Thought I would give it another try this year.

It had rained this week and the ground was wet and easy to plant the sprouted corn and seed.

The pictures only show the area were the corn 🌽 was planted.

The pictures above mostly shows where the corn was planted . A portion of the area can be seen in the picture above on the left side.  Not where the hand shovel is.  On the opposite side.
First time growing the Okra in this area.
