Sunflower 🌻 "Tree" What Happened?

Rained last night, still cloudy this morning.

 What happened?

I am not sure.  What might of happen is

that last night we had a thunder storm in our area.

When I looked out the window this morning I noticed that the

The Sunflower "tree" fell over.

I called it the sunflower tree because 

it had grown to 8feet tall and 

the main stem of it was thick like a young tree stem.

It still had sunflowers on it and soon to bloom ones too.

I took my cart and some things to use.

As I picked up the sunflower 🌻 "tree" 

to see if it could still stand on its own 

I noticed the base of the stem had broke.

Rooted part of 8foot sunflower stem that had broke.
Slightly under rosemary plant.

I decided to first cut the sunflowers off with stems 

and put them in water.

 I don't think their seeds are developed 

or fully developed, 

regardless they are still alive.  

The leaves and smaller stems were 

then cut off the main stem.

most of the stems were cut off.
