Dried Sunflowers with Seeds

Things can be obvious at times and then there are times

 when it might not be so obvious 

especially when "it's new to you."  

"I didn't know that."  "What are sunflowers?

What do sunflower 🌻 seeds look like on the sunflower 🌻? 

Comparing the 3 sunflowers....what they look like with or without seeds.

Pictured below and above.

Dried Sunflowers 2 have seeds and
 one has a majority area that does not have seeds.

Sunflower with some of its yellow petals has hardly any seeds left on it.
The 2 on the left side of the picture do have sunflower 🌻 seeds on them.

If you are planning to grow sunflowers to collect its seeds

then you should spend some time 

observing the sunflower's development stages.

By observing the sunflower 🌻 

you can learn where

 and when the sunflower seeds develop

 as well as knowing 

when the seeds can be harvested 

from the sunflower 🌻.

If you look closely and smallest sunflower 🌻
you can see area where the seeds used to be
as well as the seeds still in place on the sunflower 🌻 

Surprise! The sunflower 🌻 below has some developed seeds.

It has not dried out nor is the sunflower hardened like the sunflowers shown in pictures above it.

A non dried-out Sunflower 🌻 opened up exposing some of its seeds.
